I write at the intersection of resistance, neurodivergence, and the creation of livable worlds under authoritarian conditions.
My work is informed by an MA in Conflict Resolution from Georgetown University, where I studied resistance movements under authoritarian regimes—particularly the work of artist-dissidents like Václav Havel. I spent years in democratic development work supporting civil society in new democracies, and that practical experience shapes how I think about building parallel structures of care, meaning, and attention when institutions fail us.
I’m a published essayist and contributor to Writer Unboxed, where I write about neurodivergence, linguistic reclamation, and craft. My work on how neurodivergent communities reclaim pathologizing language has been cited in Someone Like Me, a 2025 autism anthology by the University of Queensland Press. I also facilitate panels for neurodivergent writers at conferences, working to build more supportive literary spaces.
I’m also working on a feminist fantasy novel inspired by Iron Age Ireland.
When I’m not writing, you’ll find me birding, working on various yarn projects, arguing with tarot cards, rock climbing, or playing Baldur’s Gate 3, Stardew Valley, and Stellaris. And if you’ve read my fanfic, no you haven’t.
I live in Maryland with my husband and a menagerie of backyard birds, all of whom have names.
